Team RF was created by a husband and wife, as they searched for a new hobby they could explore together. With previous experience in Pokémon VGC, the idea of learning the Pokémon Trading Card Game naturally followed.
They began their journey with the Pokémon Battle Academy box, learning the fundamentals side by side. What started as a casual and fun activity quickly turned into a competitive pursuit.
By April 2025, Team RF officially began playing Pokémon TCG, attending their first local tournament in Qatar in May 2025. With regular local events every two weeks, improvement came fast, and the team soon set its sights beyond local competition.
As the ambition grew, Team RF began participating in official Play! Pokémon Regional Championships in Europe — including events in Lille, Gdańsk, and Stuttgart. While competition intensified, the original spirit remained the same: enjoy the game, improve every event, and push limits together.
Get in touch“So… what does RF actually stand for?”
The honest answer?
It depends on the day.
Sometimes RF means Rocket Forever.
Other times it’s Royal Flames, Rebel Fury, or Radiant Fire.
And on days when we’re feeling extra technical, sure — it can even be Radio Frequency.
The truth is, RF was never meant to be locked into one definition. It’s intentionally open. What matters more than the letters is what they come to represent over time — competition, improvement, and the drive to keep pushing forward.
As Team RF grows, competes, and earns its place on bigger stages, the meaning of RF grows with it. In the end, RF will stand for whatever the team proves it stands for.
Looking Ahead
Team RF continues to grow through competition, experience, and community. While still early in its journey, the team remains committed to improvement, international competition, and the long-term goal of qualifying and winning the Pokémon World Championships.
